OKC ZOO
The Oklahoma City Zoo has become a world renowned destination for zoo and animal lovers alike. This Midwest destination attracts over a million people, and only has more room to grow with the expansive Sanctuary Asia exhibit. This exhibit truly is a sanctuary not only for the animals, but its’ visitors as it is a 14.5 acre Asian oasis. OKC Zoo’s conservation efforts are a focal point for the zoo, that attracts and keeps people coming back. The botanical gardens of the zoo highlights their conservation mission with their unique collection of plants. Located on the outskirts of Oklahoma City, the zoo will continue to break attendance records that not only positively impact the zoo but the city as a whole. While this zoo is on a positive trajectory, programs like Wild Encounters should not fall by the wayside as it has the opportunity to only enhance the positive image of the zoo.
The goal of Flatline Media’s Wild Encounters campaign is summed up in the tagline: immerse yourself. The Wild Encounters program is a great asset to the zoo that can become more viable by the goal of increased awareness in the community of Oklahoma City as well as the state. This campaign is designed to increase awareness of the Wild Encounters experience by spotlighting it as a unique and educational experience.
Flatline’s budget of roughly $6,000 will be spread out across social media efforts, more traditional methods of advertising like print and increasing the program’s use of technology. The campaign will use these types of promotion as well as partnerships with nonprofit organizations to exemplify the OKC Zoo and Wild Encounters’ dedication to animals, conservation and the community. It will show the state of Oklahoma, as well as the world, that the Oklahoma City Zoo is a unique, responsible community that they will want to be immersed in.
