ABOUT ME

A little snapshot into my background of what got me to this point in my life.

EARLY ON

I grew up in the Lone Star State in Ft. Worth, Texas. My family is my motivation to keep pushing and to continue what I want in life. They have been so supportive ever since I was young. They always loved to see my work ethic in everything I put my sights on to succeed. I have always been interested in the creative aspects of life. I always told myself I want to be in a profession that allows me to be creative. I want a free-thinking atmosphere that doesn’t confine my ideas and imagination.

It wasn’t until high school when I tried to surround myself with all forms of creativity. I got accepted to this learning academy called the Academy of Media Arts & Technology (AMAT). This is where I learned programs, graphic design, photography, video production, video game, and marketing & advertising. I was actively always trying to use what I was learning in the classroom in my everyday life. On a whelm, I decided to buy a GoPro Hero 3+ going into my senior year. I took it upon myself to use the knowledge I acquired and produce a year-long senior year video. From that point on I knew that I wanted to make what this learning academy taught me and put me on the path toward the major I pursued in college.

COLLEGE

As a freshman, I came into college with the mindset is learning and experience as much as I could but most importantly find what major would let me still be creative. So I chose to major in Strategic Communications and then I decided to get a minor in Marketing. These two majors work hand and hand. I believe it gives me a broad range of skills that will help me in any field I end up in. I tried to be as involved as I could while concentrating on my studies. But as I am the type of person that can't sit still I decided to continue to use my new skills from my collegiate level courses to produce more. I became very comfortable with the camera. My photos were becoming more and more unique as well as clean. Then dabbling into video production. I basically started to live with a camera in my hands. At this time I was traveling a lot and the camera work was a way for me to connect and capture the vibe/emotions I was experiencing at the time. I WAS HOOKED. It wasn’t until I started to share all my work with my friends that really validated how much passion I had for this. So coming back to my last two years of college I got the more marketing background that rounded my skill set to what it is today. I loved my time at Oklahoma State University and it provided me with so much more than I thought it ever would. I gave me a family, it made me realize my passion, and it let me know I always have a home in Stillwater, Ok.

FUTURE

After graduating I am trying to pursue an entry-level position dealing with social media managing, content creation, communications, and marketing. Looking for jobs in related fields such as marketing, advertising/public relations, mass media, apparel and etc. I feel like with my work ethic in partnership with my creativity I believe to achieve a great first job. My experience will show you what qualifications I have to provide. I look to the upcoming years and wonder what kind of route my life might take me but all I know is I’m going to be happy doing what I love. You only have one life so you might as well do what you love doing.

Peace Out,
